  • Grease and dirt don’t mix well
  • Gunk was likely causing issues with antenna conductivity

• Chasing RF noise around my house
  • Microwave controls and gas range stove: added ferrite cores to power cables, and that made a huge difference!
  • Experimenting with aluminum foil “noise barricade” at back of radio cabinet
• N5ZKF: tried foil on head, but doesn’t seem to have helped much 😆
  • K5WTR: have the voices stopped?
• W5XMR: Lots of HF noise from ungrounded solar panels
