- Have a prepared 2-min “elevator pitch” about ham radio
- Carry a HT: it’s a great invitation for “what’s that”
- Say something positive and constructive, not just “It’s not CB radio”
- Having a “business card” with info and links is great!
- Being a nice person sets a precedent: sets their impression of everyone in the hobby

- Room of people, and question came up about being Amateur Radio licensed
- Only 3 people stood up out of hundreds
- Bob O’Connell (KC5DWB): New mandate: they want 80% of their people to be licensed (at least Technician)
